The Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control (DNREC) Remediation Section (RS) invites public comment on a proposal to clean-up 523 Federal Street (DE-1878) (Site), located at 523 Federal Street in Milton. The Site is the location of a former sign painting business, a former gas station, and a former automobile repair facility. 523 Federal Street consists of approximately 0.16 acres located in Milton and includes a 3,700 square foot building, asphalt cover, and minor landscaping cover. The Brownfield Developer plans to renovate the existing building into a commercial retail space.

523 Federal Street will not be subject to any remedial actions. The Brownfield Investigation determined there are no unacceptable risks to potential users of the property.
