The Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control (DNREC) Remediation Section (RS) invites public comment on a proposal to clean-up of the 55 Loockerman Plaza Site (DE-1859) (Site) located at 55 Loockerman Plaza in Dover. The Site was historically used as a post office. The site contained Underground Storage Tanks (USTs) for heating oil and unleaded gasoline and transformers containing Polychlorinated Biphenyls (PCB) containing oil.
The 55 Loockerman Plaza Site will be subject to the following key remedial actions: the submittal of a Remedial Action Work Plan which specifies the methods to be used to cap the site, development and compliance with a Contaminated Materials Management Plan (CMMP), the recording of an Environmental Covenant restricting groundwater withdrawal, requiring compliance with the CMMP, a Long Term Stewardship Plan, and the submittal of a Remedial Action Completion Report.
Details of the Proposed Plan of Remedial Action (Proposed Plan) are available online at den.dnrec.delaware.gov.
