Non-Discrimination Policy

The Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control (DNREC) has adopted a plan regarding the clean-up of the 100-116 E 16th Street Site (DE-1852) (Site) located in Wilmington. The Site is currently a parking lot. Historic operations included residential housing and commercial buildings. The Site consists of approximately 0.67 acres. The Site will be subject to the following key remedial actions: Impacted site soils are being excavated to the extent feasible as detailed in a Remedial Action Work Plan. In the Long term, the site will be managed with an environmental covenant (EC), Contaminated Materials Management Plan (CMMP), and Long-Term Stewardship (LTS) Plan. The EC will restrict groundwater withdrawal on the site.

DNREC issued a public notice of the Proposed Plan of Remedial Action (Proposed Plan) for the 100-116 E 16th Street Site on October 22, 2025. There were no comments or questions from the public regarding the Proposed Plan.
