Final Plan of Remedial Action for the 900 A Street Site (DE-1346)

Division of Waste and Hazardous Substances

The Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control (DNREC) Remediation Section (RS) has adopted a plan regarding the clean-up of the 900 A Street Site (DE-1346) (Site) located in Wilmington. Past uses of the Site included residential use and then use as a storage yard.

The Site will be subject to the following key remedial actions: placement of a cap atop existing site soils to prevent exposure to them, development of a Contaminated Materials Management Plan (CMMP) with a Long-Term Stewardship (LTS) Plan, and the recording of an environmental covenant that restricts interference with the cap, restricts the use of groundwater beneath the Site, and requires compliance with the CMMP and LTS Plan.

DNREC issued a public notice of the Proposed Plan of Remedial Action (Proposed Plan) for the Site on November 3, 2024. There were no comments or questions from the public regarding the Proposed Plan.

Details of the Final Plan are available online at den.dnrec.delaware.gov.
