Non-Discrimination Policy

The Department invites public comment on a proposal to clean-up 400 S. Market St. Site (DE-1835) located at 400 S. Market St. in Wilmington. The Site contains one commercial building totaling 10,000 square feet, located on the eastern portion of the property. The Site operated as a mill working company since the early 1950s. The Site consists of approximately 1.44 acres.

The Site will be subject to the following key remedial actions: capping the Site with impervious material or at least two feet of clean fill, development and compliance with the Contaminated Materials Management Plan (CMMP), the recording of an Environmental Covenant restricting groundwater withdrawal and preventing disturbance of the cap, and development and compliance with the long-term stewardship plan.
