The Department has adopted a plan regarding the clean-up of Operable Unit (OU) 51 of the Hamilton Park/Pyles Lane Site, a residential neighborhood located in New Castle. The Site soils have been impacted likely due to fill materials placed prior to the construction of the home. The plan for OU-51 requires the removal of soils within the top two feet below ground surface in select areas to prevent property users from exposure to the soils.

DNREC issued a public notice of the Proposed Plan for OU-51 of the Hamilton Park/Pyles Lane Site on September 22, 2024. There were no comments or questions from the public regarding the Proposed Plan. Details of the Final Plan are available online at: den.dnrec.delaware.gov.
