The Department invites public comment on a proposal to clean-up the SW College Square/The Grove Site (DE-1813). The site is within a portion of New Castle County tax parcel 1802100172 located at 121 College Square, Newark DE. There are two Operable Units (OUs) for the Site.

OU-1 consists of a former Pep Boys store and surrounding parking areas, while OU-2 consists of adjacent store units with the focus being the former K&L Cleaners 2 storefronts down to the east along with its rear parking and a small portion of parking in front. There are intermixed islands of landscaping with grass and trees/shrubs within the parking lot areas.

The Site will be subject to the following key remedial action: an Environmental Covenant that restricts groundwater withdrawal.
