The Department has adopted a plan regarding the clean-up of the Broadkiln Sportsmans Club Site located in Milton. The Site historically operated as a shooting range with a trap field and Rifle/pistol range. The Site requires a restriction on use of groundwater at the Site, excavation of contaminated soils in the trap field and rifle berm, and restriction of the property to non-residential type uses.

DNREC issued a public notice of the Proposed Plan for the Broadkiln Sportsmans Club Site on December 20, 2023. Comments and questions from the public regarding the Proposed Plan were received. These comments and responses are included in the Final Plan of Remedial Action. Based on those comments, no change to the proposed remedy is required and the Proposed Plan is adopted as the Final Plan. Details of the Final Plan are available online at: den.dnrec.delaware.gov
