Tidewater Utilities, Inc. (Bayside) has applied for a modification of its public water allocation serving approximately 1,000 residential and 6,500 transient people in Sussex County. The application includes five existing public wells. The requested allocation is 1.452 million gallons (MG) per day, 36.778 MG per month, and 114.744 MG per year.

A public hearing on the above applications will NOT be held unless the Secretary of DNREC determines that a public hearing is in the public interest or if a written meritorious objection to the application is received by November 16, 2020, at 4:30 p.m. A public hearing request shall be deemed meritorious if it exhibits a familiarity with the application and provides a reasoned statement of the action’s probable impact.
