David Smith has requested an allocation permit for two proposed irrigation wells with a combined capacity of 1,100 gpm. The requested allocation is 1.13 MGD, 33.90 MG per month, and 67.8 MG per year. The well will be located 4 miles South of Lincoln in Sussex County, on Jefferson Road. Tax parcel 2-30-21.00-0024.00.

The Delaware Solid Waste Authority has requested an allocation permit for one proposed irrigation wells with a capacity of 500 gpm. The requested allocation is 0.72 MGD, 21.6 MG per month, and 43.2 MG per year. The well will be located 3.8 miles South of Harbeson in Sussex County, on Beaver Dam Road. Tax parcel 2-34-16.00-0012.00.

A public hearing on the above applications will NOT be held unless the Secretary of DNREC determines that a public hearing is in the public interest or if a written meritorious objection to the application is received by April 19, 2023, at 4:30 p.m. A public hearing request shall be deemed meritorious if it exhibits a familiarity with the application and provides a reasoned statement of the action’s probable impact.
