Artesian Water Company (Delaware City) has requested a renewal of its public water allocation for two existing public wells. The requested allocation is 0.350 million gallons (MG) per day, 8.0 MG per month, and 80.0 MG per year. The wells serve approximately 1,800 people in New Castle County.
ELMA Isaacs Farms Family, LP has requested an allocation permit for one proposed irrigation well. The requested allocation is 0.37 MG per day, 5.9 MG per month, and 24.0 MG per year. The well will be located east of Ellendale in Sussex County, near the intersection of Hummingbird and Isaacs Roads. Tax parcel 530-10.00-39.00.
Swann Keys Civic Association has requested a renewal of its public water allocation for two existing public wells. The requested allocation is 0.14 MG per day, 4.2 MG per month, and 51.2 MG per year. The wells serve approximately 1,500 people in Sussex County.

A public hearing on the above applications will NOT be held unless the Secretary of DNREC determines that a public hearing is in the public interest or if a written meritorious objection to the application is received by April 26, 2021, at 4:30 p.m. A public hearing request shall be deemed meritorious if it exhibits a familiarity with the application and provides a reasoned statement of the action’s probable impact.
