The Delaware Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control, Division of Water, hereby gives notice that a permit application has been received from:
Artesian Wastewater Management, Inc., of Milton, Sussex County, Delaware, to install a duplex pump station with submersible pumps, six thousand three hundred and twenty six linear feet of four, six and eight inch (6,326 LF of 4,6,8”) forcemains, and related appurtenances to serve the proposed development of Liberty (formerly known as Welsh Run) situated along Harmons Hill Road outside the Town of Millsboro, in Sussex County, Delaware. The pump station is located at the south side of Harmons Hill Road approximately 2,300 feet east of Hollyville Road. The forcemain will exit the site at the northeastern corner of the property along Harmons Hill Road, then run parallel to Harmons Hill Road for approximately 3,100 feet, then turn north and run parallel to the Independence development property line another 2,700 feet, the turn east and run 500 feet and discharge into the existing gravity sewer system on Samuel Adams Circle, located within the Independence development.

A public hearing concerning the above applications will NOT be held unless the Secretary of DNREC determines that a hearing is in the public interest or if a written meritorious request for a hearing is received on or before January 10, 2021. A request for a public hearing shall be deemed meritorious if it exhibits a familiarity with the application and provides a reasoned statement of the permit’s probable impact.
