Wastewater Facilities Construction Permit Application: Shingle Point Properties

The Delaware Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control, Division of Water, hereby gives notice that a permit application for the construction of wastewater conveyance has been received concerning the following:

Shingle Point Properties, LLC proposes to construct a duplex submersible sanitary sewer pump station and approximately two thousand four hundred and five linear feet (2,405 LF) of six (6) inch diameter sanitary sewer force main to serve the proposed two hundred and nine (209) single family lot Azalea Woods subdivision located on the west side of Gravel Hill Road at the Petty John Road intersection northeast of Georgetown in Sussex County, Delaware. The proposed pump station will be installed approximately one thousand six hundred (1,600) feet west of the aforementioned intersection within phase one of Azalea Woods. The proposed force main will run within phase one and discharge to an existing six (6) inch diameter Artesian force main located on the subdivision frontage along Gravel Hill Road.

A public hearing concerning the above application will NOT be held unless the Secretary of DNREC determines that a hearing is in the public interest or if a written meritorious request for a hearing is received on or before August 18, 2021. A request for a public hearing shall be deemed meritorious if it exhibits a familiarity with the application and provides a reasoned statement of the permit’s probable impact.
