The Delaware Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control, Division of Water, hereby gives notice that a permit application for the construction of wastewater conveyance has been received concerning the following:

Schiff Land Development Co., LLC proposes to install a duplex submersible sanitary sewer pump station, approximately eight thousand one hundred and six linear feet (8,106 LF) of eight (8) inch diameter sanitary gravity sewer main, twenty-six linear feet (26 LF) of ten (10) inch diameter gravity sewer main, and four hundred thirty-two linear feet (432 LF) of four (4) inch diameter force main and related appurtenances to serve one hundred and twenty-seven (127) detached single family homes in the proposed Patriots Crest subdivision located on South State Street US 113A, approximately 1200 feet northwest of Banning Road, in Kent County, Delaware. The proposed pump station will be located offsite of the proposed subdivision, just northwest of Locust Grove Road and will flow into the proposed sanitary sewer force main that will discharge to an existing force main on Locust Grove Road.

A public hearing concerning the above application will NOT be held unless the Secretary of DNREC determines that a hearing is in the public interest or if a written meritorious request for a hearing is received on or before November 8, 2023. A request for a public hearing shall be deemed meritorious if it exhibits a familiarity with the application and provides a reasoned statement of the permit’s probable impact.
