Wastewater Facilities Construction Permit Application: Mayapple Farm

The Delaware Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control, Division of Water, hereby gives notice that a permit application has been received from:

Mayapple Farm LLC, of Salisbury, Maryland, to install six (6) sewage grinder pump stations and approximately two thousand, two hundred and seventy linear feet of two inch (2,770 LF of 2.0”) forcemain to serve Mayapple Farm residential development, located on Williamsville Road approximately 4,000 LF from the intersection of Williamsville Road (SCR 395) and Lighthouse Road (Route 54), Williamsville, Sussex County, Delaware. The grinder pump stations are located within the residential community. Part of the forcemain is located within the residential community and part of it runs north along Williamsville Road, where it discharges into an existing manhole on Williamsville Road.

A public hearing concerning the above application will NOT be held unless the Secretary of DNREC determines that a hearing is in the public interest or if a written meritorious request for a hearing is received on or before August 28, 2022. A request for a public hearing shall be deemed meritorious if it exhibits a familiarity with the application and provides a reasoned statement of the permit’s probable impact.
