Wastewater Facilities Construction Permit Application: Lioncap, LLC

The Delaware Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control, Division of Water, hereby gives notice that a permit application for the construction of wastewater conveyance has been received concerning the following:

Lioncap, LLC proposes to install a submersible pump station, approximately two thousand three hundred and twenty-seven linear feet (2,327 LF) of six (6) inch diameter sanitary sewer force main, three thousand one hundred and twelve linear feet (3,112 LF) of eight (8) inch diameter gravity sewer main, thirty-nine linear feet (39 LF) of ten (10) inch diameter gravity sewer main, twenty (20) manholes, and related appurtenances. This project will serve eighty-six (86) existing residential lots at Governor’s Glen Subdivision, and eventually eighty-seven (87) proposed lots in a future, currently unnamed subdivision that will be directly north of Governor’s Glen. The project is located in the Major Subdivision of Governor’s Glen, 0 Governor Lea Road, in Bear, New Castle County, Delaware. The future subdivision is located at 0 Red Lion Road, in Bear, New Castle County, Delaware. The proposed pump station will be located within the Governor’s Glen and service both the existing and proposed subdivisions. The proposed sanitary sewer force main will tie into a New Castle County manhole next to the New Castle County pump station along Bear Corbitt Road.

A public hearing concerning the above application will NOT be held unless the Secretary of DNREC determines that a hearing is in the public interest or if a written meritorious request for a hearing is received on or before January 3, 2024. A request for a public hearing shall be deemed meritorious if it exhibits a familiarity with the application and provides a reasoned statement of the permit’s probable impact.
