The Department invites public comment on a proposal to clean-up the NVF Wilmington Site located in Wilmington. Industrial operations that spanned over one hundred years and included a tannery and vulcanized fiber manufacturing have impacted soil and groundwater at the Site. The Site required capping, restriction of groundwater use, and the completion of long-term stewardship to ensure the integrity of the cap.
