The Department invites public comment on a proposal to clean-up Operable Unit 3 (OU-3) of the SIP Property Site (DE-1408) [“Site”] located at 1225 East 8^th Street in Wilmington. Historically, the Site was used as part of shipbuilding operations. OU-3 of the Site is currently largely wooded but the southwestern corner was cleared and most recently used as a material storage area.

OU-3 of the SIP Property Site will be subject to the following key remedial actions: the recording of an Environmental Covenant with the property deed that restricts property use to non-residential and required compliance with the site-specific Contaminated Materials Management Plan (CMMP).
