Pursuant to the Hazardous Substance and Environmental Control (DNREC) is required to issue a public notice within twenty days after entering into negotiations for a Certified Brownfields Development Agreement (BDA). A BDA is an agreement between DNREC and a Certified Brownfields Developer with respect to a Certified Brownfield Site that sets forth a scope of work and schedule of remedial activities during the development of the Site.

DNREC’s Remediation Section (DNREC-RS) negotiated a BDA with Dover Land Holdings LLC regarding the 17399, 17403, 17439 South DuPont Highway Site (Site), located at 17399, 17403, 17439 South DuPont Highway, Dover, Delaware. Identified by Kent County as tax parcel numbers 06-09-180.05-01-48.00, 06-09-180.05-01-49.00 and 06-09-180.05-01-50.00 the Site may have had a release of hazardous substances as a result of historical activities on site. The public comment period begins on Wednesday, March 9, 2022, and will end at the close of business on Tuesday, March 29, 2022.
