The Hazardous Substance Cleanup Act (HSCA), 7 Del. C. § 9107 (a)(1), requires the Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control (DNREC) to provide “public notification within 20 days after entering into negotiations for a voluntary cleanup settlement agreement with any person that agrees to perform a remedy.”
As required by § 9107 (a)(1), DNREC advises that it is negotiating a Voluntary Cleanup Program (VCP) Agreement with Peninsula Venture VIII, LLC regarding the SIP Inc. Property Site (DE-1408) located at 1101, 1103 and 1225 East 8th Street, Wilmington, DE. The Site is identified as New Castle County tax parcel numbers 26-044.00-016, 26-044.00-018 and 26-044.00-047. The Site requires remedial action due to historic activities on site. For Site-specific information, please see DNREC’s Environmental Navigator at www.nav.dnrec.delaware.gov/DEN3.
