The Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control (DNREC), Division of Air Quality (DAQ) is providing the public an opportunity to inspect and comment on the annual Air Monitoring Network Plan prior to submission of the final plan to the United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).
The annual plan is submitted to the EPA each year by July 1st. The annual monitoring network plan provides documentation of Delaware’s establishment and maintenance of the air quality monitoring program that consists of a network of monitoring stations that measure air pollution across the state. More information regarding specific pollutants and where they are monitored is available in the plan and on our website de.gov/airmonitoring.
The draft plan may be inspected online starting May 16, 2021 at de.gov/dnrecnotices, contacting our New Castle office by phone at 302-739-9402 or by email at DNREC_DAQ_Monitoring@Delaware.gov.
The Department will accept public comment through the close of business on Tuesday, June 15, 2021. Comments will be accepted in written form via email to DNREC_DAQ_Monitoring@Delaware.gov or by U.S. mail to the following address:
