The Department has adopted a plan regarding the clean-up of the Former Mitchell Shop Site located in Bear. The Site, once used as gas station required a restriction of groundwater use and adherence to a Long-Term Stewardship Plan and Contaminated Materials Management Plan.

DNREC issued public notice of the Proposed Plan for the Former Mitchell Shop Site on February 14, 2021. There were no comments or questions from the public regarding the Proposed Plan. Details of the Final Plan are available online at: http://www.nav.dnrec.delaware.gov/DEN3/
