The Department has adopted a plan regarding the clean-up of the Sussex County Family Court Site (DE-1776) located at E. Market Street and E. Pine Street in Georgetown. The Site has been used by Sussex County, Delaware as a vehicle parking lot since the mid- 1990s. The Site will be used for construction of the Sussex County Family Court Building and associated parking. The Final Plan includes the requirements of a restriction on use of groundwater at the Site and the development and implementation of a Contaminated Materials Management Plan
DNREC issued a public notice of the Proposed Plan for the Sussex County Family Court Site (DE-1776) Site on April 27, 2022. There were no comments or questions from the public regarding the Proposed Plan. Details of the Final Plan are available online at: den.dnrec.delaware.gov
