The Department has adopted a plan regarding the clean-up of Operable Unit 6 (OU-6) Old Battery Lane of the Fort Dupont Redevelopment (DE-1618) located at the intersection of Powers Lane and Hospital Road in Delaware City. OU-6 is the sixth of several Operable Units (OUs) within the over 300-acre Fort Dupont Site that had historically be occupied and operated as a Formerly Used Defense Site (FUDS) and later as the Governor Bacon Health Center. OU-6 requires a close and abandon the monitoring wells in accordance with state and local regulations and the recording of an Environmental Covenant limiting groundwater withdrawal.
