The Department has adopted a plan regarding the clean-up of the Cavaliers Country Club Site located in Newark. The Site has had various uses including agricultural use and operation as a country club with a golf course and related facilities. The Site requires a restriction on use of groundwater at the Site and excavation of contaminated soils to ensure elimination of exposure to existing Site soils and groundwater for future Site users.

DNREC issued a public notice of the Proposed Plan for the Cavaliers Country Club Site on July 8, 2023. There were no comments or questions from the public regarding the Proposed Plan. Details of the Final Plan are available online at: den.dnrec.delaware.gov
