The Department has adopted a plan regarding the clean-up of the 1400 S. DuPont Site located in New Castle. The Site has historically operated as a fuel filling station and automotive repair shop from the early 1960s until 2013. The Site requires the restriction of groundwater withdrawal and property use to non-residential and the development and compliance with a Contaminated Materials Management Plan (CMMP).
DNREC issued a public notice of the Proposed Plan for the 1400 S. DuPont Site on November 20, 2022. There were no comments or questions from the public regarding the Proposed Plan. Details of the Final Plan are available online at: den.dnrec.delaware.gov
