Federal Consistency Determinations have been submitted to the Delaware Coastal Management Program for the following:
Amendment 22 – Summer Flounder, Scup, and Sea Bass FMP (2022.0070)
The National Marine Fisheries Service proposes to implement Amendment 22 to the Summer Flounder, Scup, and Black Sea Bass Fishery Management Plan (FMP). Amendment 22 would establish updated commercial and recreational sector allocations for summer flounder, scup, and black sea bass and add the option for future modifications to allocations and transfer provisions to be considered through an FMP framework action as opposed to an amendment.
Lewes and Rehoboth Canal Maintenance Dredging (2022.0075)
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers proposes to maintenance dredge the Lewes and Rehoboth Canal navigation channel over a period of 10 years between Roosevelt Inlet and the Savannah Road Bridge to -10 feet mean lower low water and from -6 feet mean lower low water from Savannah Road to approximately 1000 feet southeast of the Rt. 9 bridge. Approximately 75,000 cubic yards of dredged material would be placed in upland confined disposal facilities in Lewes, DE.
