A Federal Consistency Certification has been submitted to the Delaware Coastal Management Program for the following: DelDOT T2016 I-95 and SR 896 Interchange (2022.0044)
The Delaware Department of Transportation is seeking a United States Army Corps of Engineers permit to reconfigure the existing I-95 and SR 896 interchange to a double flyover interchange with new and realigned/widened ramps. Additional activities include the reconstruction of the I-95 and SR 896 roadways approaching the interchange, the addition of a third travel lane along a portion of SR 896 southbound, stormwater and drainage improvements, addition of a new and replacement of existing guardrail, the addition of retaining walls to construct the new ramps, and the construction of a 5.48-acre wetland mitigation site.
Comments concerning this Federal Consistency Certification will be accepted for 30 days from the date of this notice.
