A Federal Consistency Certification has been submitted to the Delaware Coastal Management Program (DCMP) for the following:

Lewes Beach Nourishment (2023.0069)

DNREC Division of Watershed Stewardship proposes to conduct beach nourishment at Lewes Beach as an extension of a U.S. Army Corps of Engineers planned activity that would use a hydraulic dredge to pump sand onto the beach from an offshore ebb shoal. DNREC would add an additional 75,000 cubic yards of material to extend the beach fill template further along the coast. The proposed activity is subject to review for consistency under the policies of the DCMP.
