DNREC Notice No. CCE20250336
Non-Discrimination Policy

A Federal Consistency Determination has been submitted to the DNREC Delaware Coastal Management Program (DCMP) for the following: USCG Atlantic Fairways (2025.0048)

The U.S. Coast Guard (USCG) is proposing to establish vessel routing measures (shipping safety fairways) along the Atlantic Coast from the U.S.-Canada maritime border in the Gulf of Maine to Miami, Florida; a fairway anchorage off Delaware Bay; and potentially additional extensions of selected east-west port-approach fairways up to 200 nautical miles offshore (edge of Exclusive Economic Zone). Fairways are designed to keep navigation routes free from fixed structures that could impact navigation safety and impede other shared offshore activities. The fairway plan is described in the published federal register Notice of Proposed Rulemaking, “Shipping Safety Fairways Along the Atlantic Coast” (www.federalregister.gov/d/2024-00757). The proposed activity is subject to review for consistency under the policies of the DNREC DCMP.

Comments concerning this Federal Consistency Determination will be accepted from October 1, 2025, through October 21, 2025. Comments may be sent to: DNREC Coastal Programs, Jesse Hayden, Administrator, 100 W. Water Street, Suite 7B, Dover, DE, 19904, or electronically to DNREC_DCP_PublicComment@delaware.gov. (Please note that there are underscores between DNREC, DCP, and Public). For submission materials and additional information please visit de.gov/dnrecnotices or call (302) 739-9283.
