A Federal Consistency Certification has been submitted to the DNREC Delaware Coastal Management Program (DCMP) for the following: Culvert Extension at 509 Capitol Trail (2025.0041)
Schwab VIII, LLC, proposes to utilize a U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Nationwide Permit No. 46 to modify a drainage ditch at 509 Capitol Trail, Newark, New Castle County, DE, in preparation for redevelopment of the property into an apartment complex. The proposed project includes the extension of a current culvert system northward to outlet at the 100-year flood plain boundary impacting approximately 0.06-acres of the waterway. The proposed activity is subject to review for consistency under the policies of the DNREC DCMP.
