Non-Discrimination Policy

A Federal Consistency Certification has been submitted to the DNREC Delaware Coastal Management Program (DCMP) for the following: Dobbinsville Fishing Pier and Parking Improvements (2025.0016)

DNREC Division of Fish and Wildlife proposes to utilize a U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Individual Permit to construct a fishing pier, a trail, and parking lot improvements at Deemers Beach in the Dobbinsville area of New Castle, New Castle County, Delaware. The T-shaped pier dimensions are proposed to be approximately 284 ft long from the mean high-water line which includes a 12 ft by 260 ft section perpendicular to the shoreline and a 42 ft by 22 ft section parallel to the shoreline. Thirty-seven steel piles will be used to support the pier. The proposed activity is subject to review for consistency under the policies of the DNREC DCMP.
