Notice has been given that:

The Department of Health and Social Services (DHSS) Public Health Laboratory, requests a construction permit to construct one (1) emergency generator, rated 760 kW (1,020 hp) at their 30 Sunnyside Road, Smyrna, Delaware facility. The engine used in this generator set complies with U. S. EPA regulations under the provisions of 40 CFR 89, Non-Road Tier 2 emissions limits. Permit# APC-2024/0038-Construction.

The application for this permit may be reviewed upon request. The application is posted at de.gov/dnrecnotices. A public hearing on any of the above applications will NOT be held unless the Secretary of DNREC receives a request for a hearing regarding that application within 15 days from the date of this notice, ending February 5, 2024. A request for a hearing shall be in writing. The request must also show a familiarity with the application and a reasoned statement of the permit’s probable impact.
