A Federal Consistency Determination has been submitted to the DNREC Delaware Coastal Management Program (DCMP) for the following: NMFS Implementation of ICCAT Recommendations for Atlantic Swordfish and Tuna Species (2026.0025)

The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) proposes to implement recent binding recommendations of the International Commission for the Conservation of Atlantic Tunas (ICCAT) on quotas for North Atlantic swordfish, South Atlantic swordfish, North Atlantic albacore (northern albacore), and Atlantic bluefin tuna. This action would update management procedures, describe quota adjustment procedures for several species, and implement changes to bluefin tuna quotas. Details of this proposed rule are available on the Federal Register under document number 2026-09059 and the DNREC public notices website (Notice No. CCE20260193). The proposed activity is subject to review for consistency under the policies of the DNREC DCMP.
