The Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control (DNREC) Remediation Section (RS) has adopted a plan regarding the clean-up of the 523 Federal Street Site (DE-1878) (Site) located in Milton. The Site is the location of a former sign painting business, a former gas station, and a former automobile repair facility. The Site does not require any remedial actions. The Brownfield Investigation determined that there are no unacceptable risks to potential users of the property.

DNREC-RS issued a public notice of the Proposed Plan of Remedial Action (Proposed Plan) for the 523 Federal Street Site on December 24, 2025. There were no comments or questions from the public regarding the Proposed Plan.
