Project Description: The State of Delaware has submitted an application for a Construction and Operating Permit for an On-site Wastewater Treatment and Disposal System for a proposed visitor’s center for The John Dickinson Plantation. The system has been designed to accommodate 2,400 gallons per day of domestic wastewater generated by an 800 seat visitor’s center. The system consists of one 4,400 gallon septic tank, one 4,400 gallon dosing tank and two pressure dosed capping fill systems for disposal.

A public hearing on the above applications will NOT be held unless the Secretary of DNREC determines that a public hearing is in the public interest or if a written meritorious objection to the application is received within 15 days from this notice. A public hearing request shall be deemed meritorious if it exhibits a familiarity with the application and provides a reasoned statement of the action’s probable impact.
