The Department invites public comment on a proposal to clean-up the 900 A Street Site (DE-1346) (“Site”) located at 900 A Street in Wilmington. Past uses of the Site included residential use and then use as a storage yard.
The Site will be subject to the following key remedial actions: placement of a cap consisting of impervious material, such as asphalt or concrete, or at least two feet of DNREC-approved fill material, development of and compliance with a Contaminated Materials Management Plan (CMMP) and a Long-Term Stewardship (LTS) Plan, and the recording of an Environmental Covenant that restricts interference with the cap, restricts groundwater withdrawal from beneath the Site, and requires compliance with the CMMP and LTS Plan.
Details of the Proposed Plan of Remedial Action are available online at: den.dnrec.delaware.gov
The comment period ends at close of business (4:30PM) on November 25, 2024. For additional information, please contact Lindsay Hall, Project Manager, at (302) 395-2600 or via email at RS_Public_Comments@delaware.gov.
