The Department invites public comment on a proposal to clean-up the 112 A Street Site (DE-1805) located at 112 A Street in Wilmington. The Site is a commercial property historically used as construction company and landscaping equipment storage. The 112 A Street Site consists of approximately .89 acres consisting of a commercial building on the north side of the property and two garage buildings. The remainder of the property is predominantly asphalt or overgrown vegetation.
The 112 A Street Site will be subject to the following key remedial actions: the submittal of a Remedial Action Work Plan; capping of the Site with at least two feet of clean fill or impervious surface; development and compliance with a Contaminated Materials Management Plan (CMMP); development and compliance with a Long Term Stewardship Plan (LTS Plan) to ensure protectiveness of the remedy; the recording of an Environmental Covenant restricting groundwater withdrawal and compliance with the CMMP and LTS Plan; and the submittal of a Remedial Action Completion Report.
Details of the Proposed Plan are available online at: den.dnrec.delaware.gov
The comment period ends at close of business (4:30PM) on November 18, 2024. For additional information, please contact Bill Duy, Project Manager at (302) 395-2600 or via email at RS_Public_Comments@delaware.gov.
