New Castle County Department of Public Works poses to install a Duplex grinder pump station, approximately one hundred linear feet (100 LF) of fourteen (14) inch diameter sanitary sewer force main, one hundred feet (100 LF) of eighteen (18) inch diameter sanitary sewer force main and related appurtenances to connect the pump station to offsite force mains installed previously under the force main construction contract to deliver wastewater from the West Wing area of southern New Castle County, to the East Wing sewer interceptor in Mount Pleasant, New Castle County, Delaware. The proposed pump station will be located on an easement in the Carter Farm subdivision, southwest of Apartment Building 5.

A public hearing concerning the above application will NOT be held unless the Secretary of DNREC determines that a hearing is in the public interest or if a written meritorious request for a hearing is received on or before January 31, 2024. A request for a public hearing shall be deemed meritorious if it exhibits a familiarity with the application and provides a reasoned statement of the permit’s probable impact.
