The website of the Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control (DNREC) has a new address. The DNREC web URL has changed from dnrec.alpha.delaware.gov to dnrec.delaware.gov.

Links and URLs that are set to still go to dnrec.alpha.delaware.gov will automatically be redirected to the correct location in the new site. It would be helpful, though, for those who have links to the DNREC site to change their links to dnrec.delaware.gov.

The now retired “dnrec.alpha.delaware.gov” URL was adopted when the department began rebuilding their former site several years ago. Because the new site had to be built alongside the old site, “alpha” was added to distinguish the new site from the old. “Alpha” is an identifier commonly used by programmers to refer to early versions of something while they are building it.
