Artesian Water Company (Chesapeake City Road) has applied for a modification of its public water allocation which is connected to a larger system serving approximately 209,000 people in New Castle County. The application includes three existing public wells and one proposed public well. The requested allocation is 3.492 million gallons (MG) per day, 104.76 MG per month, and 1,095.00 MG per year.

A public hearing on the above applications will NOT be held unless the Secretary of DNREC determines that a public hearing is in the public interest or if a written meritorious objection to the application is received by November 23, 2020, at 4:30 p.m. A public hearing request shall be deemed meritorious if it exhibits a familiarity with the application and provides a reasoned statement of the action’s probable impact.
