Planners
Plan for long-term needs, bringing people and data together to implement strategies and make them a reality.

Environmental Scientists
Collect and analyze environmental data for human health and long-term changes – from tracking bird populations, to collecting water and soil samples, to monitoring marsh health.

How To Apply
DNREC offers part-time, full-time and contractual positions, as well as internships. Some jobs are classified as conservation district positions, meaning they are contracted jobs that are funded by DNREC but hired by a county conservation district.
Part-time positions are also known as casual/seasonal jobs. Full-time jobs are 37.5 hours a week, and most offer flexible/hybrid schedules. Positions are open to all eligible candidates.
Select the position you are interested in and follow the application process, which includes uploading a resume and answering questions about your experience and skills.
The most qualified candidates will be selected for interviews before a panel of professionals, many of whom the jobholder will likely work closely with.
