DNREC Notice No. WHS20240028
The Department has adopted a plan regarding the clean-up of the 201 Gold Property Site located in Wilmington. From the early 1900s until recently, the Site was used for various commercial purposes. The building is currently vacant. The Site requires vapor mitigation system installation; investigation, delineation, and removal of an area of suspected shallow soil contamination below the building slab; development and compliance with a Contaminated Materials Management Plan (CMMP) and Long-Term Stewardship Plan (LTS); and recording of an Environmental Covenant restricting well installation and groundwater withdrawal.
DNREC issued a public notice of the Proposed Plan for the 201 Gold Property Site on December 24, 2023. DNREC received additional information requests from 2 members of the public via telephone during the comment period. The comments and responses are included in the Final Plan. These comments and information requests did not impact the Proposed Plan of Remedial Action. Details of the Final Plan are available online at: den.dnrec.delaware.gov
