Subaqueous Lands Permit

DNREC, Division of Parks and Recreation, Thompson Island – 334-25.00-11.00; 334-19.00-172.00; 334-19.00-173.00 – To utilize a staging area by repair/retrofit of an existing boat ramp in the Rehoboth Bay at the terminus of New Road (38.670524, -75.072471), Delaware Seashore State Park, Dewey Beach, in order to construct approximately 537 linear feet of shell bags, approximately 2,149 linear feet of Wave Attenuation Devices (WADs) in separate segments and approximately 855 linear feet of oyster castles in separate segments as shoreline stabilization techniques along the west, south and east shorelines of the Thompson Island Nature Preserve in portions located in the Lewes and Rehoboth Canal and the Rehoboth Bay, at the Thompson Island Nature Preserve, Rehoboth Beach, Sussex County, DE.

Subaqueous Lands Lease

Kimberly Ruth Cropper, Trustee – 233-6.00-133.00 – To maintain and utilize currently existing structures and install one (1) new boatlift with four (4) associated pilings in Pepper Creek at 3026 Shell Road, Dagsboro, Sussex County, DE.

A public hearing on the above applications will NOT be held unless the Secretary of DNREC determines that a public hearing is in the public interest or if a written meritorious objection to the application is received within 20 days from this notice. Please indicate in your letter whether your intention is to request a public hearing or whether you are simply providing comments for the Department’s consideration. If a public hearing is desired, please be advised that a public hearing request shall be deemed meritorious if it exhibits familiarity with the application and provides a reasoned statement of the action’s probable impact.
