The Delaware Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control, Division of Water, hereby gives notice that a permit application for the construction of wastewater conveyance has been received concerning the following:

The Town of Millsboro proposes to install a force main and beneficial reuse main, with approximately fourteen thousand four hundred and twenty linear feet (14,420 LF) of sixteen (16) inch diameter sanitary sewer force main and fourteen thousand four hundred and twenty linear feet (14,420 LF) of fourteen (14) inch diameter beneficial reuse main connected to an existing pump station with related appurtenances to pump treated wastewater to several spray irrigation properties from the proposed White Farm Wastewater Treatment Plant in the Town of Millsboro in Sussex County, Delaware. The existing pump station, located on Millsboro Highway, will redirect flow to the proposed wastewater treatment plant and services the Plantation Lakes development, Woodlands of Millsboro development, and several other small parcels in the western portion of the Town of Millsboro.

A public hearing concerning the above application will NOT be held unless the Secretary of DNREC determines that a hearing is in the public interest or if a written meritorious request for a hearing is received on or before November 8, 2023. A request for a public hearing shall be deemed meritorious if it exhibits a familiarity with the application and provides a reasoned statement of the permit’s probable impact.
