The Delaware Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control, Division of Water, hereby gives notice that a permit application for the construction of wastewater conveyance has been received concerning the following:

Sussex County proposes to replace fifty-five (55) existing residential on-site septic systems within the Oak Acres subdivision on White Oak Drive off Miller Neck Road in Frankford, Sussex County, Delaware. As part of this project, Sussex County is proposing to install two (2) low pressure single residence grinder pump stations and the associated approximate three hundred and fifty linear feet (350 LF) of one and a half (1.5) inch diameter sanitary sewer force main. The proposed pump stations will be located within the Oak Acres subdivision at 36241 and 36247 White Oak Drive. The proposed sanitary sewer force main will discharge to a proposed gravity sewer main on White Oak Drive.

A public hearing concerning the above application will NOT be held unless the Secretary of DNREC determines that a hearing is in the public interest or if a written meritorious request for a hearing is received on or before November 1, 2023. A request for a public hearing shall be deemed meritorious if it exhibits a familiarity with the application and provides a reasoned statement of the permit’s probable impact.
