Perdue Foods, LLC proposes to upgrade an existing wastewater treatment facility to provide higher efficiency of nutrient removal in a facility that processes poultry industry wastes at 20621 Savannah Road in Georgetown, Delaware. The upgrades will include modifying two existing aeration basins and constructing two 0.55 million gallon (MG) primary treatment tanks, one 0.13 MG secondary treatment tank, and four media disk tertiary filters.

A public hearing on the above application will NOT be held unless the Secretary of DNREC determines that a public hearing is in the public interest or if a written meritorious objection to the application is received within 15 days from this notice. A public hearing request shall be deemed meritorious if it exhibits a familiarity with the application and provides a reasoned statement of the action’s probable impact.
