Martian Ross has applied for a Rural Area Waiver to construct an on-site wastewater treatment and disposal system (septic system), on his property, located on the northeast side of Whitesville Road (CR 64) ~2700’ southeast of Russell Road (CR455B) near Delmar, Delaware. Sussex County tax map # 532-16.00-14.14 (AKA Lot B)
The Rural Area Waiver is being requested at this time to allow the proposed system to be located on land that does not meet the current soil limiting zone criteria. The proposed system will serve a single-family dwelling with a design flow rate of 600 gallons per day, or less.

A public hearing on the above application will NOT be held unless the Secretary of DNREC determines that a public hearing is in the public interest or if a written meritorious objection to the application is received within 15 days from this notice. A public hearing request shall be deemed meritorious if it exhibits a familiarity with the application and provides a reasoned statement of the action’s probable impact.
