The Department has adopted a plan regarding the clean-up of the 801 North Orange Street Site (DE-1802) located at 801 North Orange Street in Wilmington. The Site housed numerous businesses including printing operations, mechanics, paint retailers, and restaurants.

The 801 North Orange Street Site will be subject to the following key remedial actions: The installation of a protective cap, the submittal and adherence to a Contaminated Materials Management Plan (CMMP) and long term stewardship plan, and the placement of an environmental covenant that will restrict the site’s use of groundwater.

DNREC issued a public notice of the Proposed Plan for the 801 North Orange Street Stie on December 21, 2022. There were no comments or questions from the public regarding Proposed Plan. Details of the Final Plan are available online at: den.dnrec.delaware.gov
