The Department has adopted a plan regarding the clean-up of the 250 N Rehoboth Blvd Site located in Milford. The Site operated as a supplier of agricultural products which have reportedly included fertilizers, fungicides, pesticides, and herbicides since the mid-1970s. The site requires an environmental covenant which will place a limitation on groundwater withdrawal. In addition, the site will be required to comply with a Contaminated Materials Management Plan (CMMP) and a Long-Term Stewardship (LTS) Plan. The LTS plan will detail groundwater monitoring requirements. Finally, impacted soil will be removed as part of a hotspot excavation.
DNREC issued a public notice of the Proposed Plan for the 250 N Rehoboth Blvd Site on July 31, 2022. There were no comments or questions from the public regarding the Proposed Plan. Details of the Final Plan are available online at: den.dnrec.delaware.gov
